We are a small, friendly practice based in St Albans, Herts, dealing, broadly, with two kinds of work:

The Full Service We offer a full taxation and accountancy service. This involves providing advice, preparing accounts, tax compliance, tax minimisation, completing the relevant tax forms, and submitting the relevant paperwork to HMRC (previously the Inland Revenue) - and to other authorities. We carry out this work for individuals in business, employed individuals, partners, partnerships, and limited companies. Click for more detail of what we can do for you.

The £199 Service In addition, we offer a £199 tax return completion service: for a fixed fee (£199 all in) we will complete a personal (or partnership) tax return form. This service is rather like buying a product in a shop or over the telephone. It is extremely quick and efficient. And painless.

We offer both a first class service and excellent value for money. All our tax work is carried out to the highest standard by a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser.

The practitioner, Raibeart MacDougall CTA FMAAT RSA Cert TEFL ATT, completed his articles in 1977 and worked in the UK and abroad before returning to St Albans in 1980 and starting in taxation practice.

Staying up to date with taxation issues has never been more important than it is today. In 1998 Raibeart retrained and qualified as an associate member of the ATT. In 2005 Raibeart qualified as an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, and joined The Confederation Fiscale Europeene.

Training: Raibeart spends the equivalent of over three whole working weeks a year simply retraining, to stay up to date with tax legislation, concession, and statute, as well as accounting requirements and convention. He takes great pride in staying up to date and in offering the best possible tax advice. To this end, in 2006 he joined the The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) Tax Faculty.

Software: We use the best software available - Iris, see www.iris.co.uk - for tax and accounting work. Iris is accredited by the ICAEW.
